The best time to plant them is during Spring and early Summer.The ideal conditions to encourage flowering is in an area with a lot of light but not direct sunlight. Early morning sun up to mid-morning is not harmful. Clivia plants grow in most soil types, with varying degrees of success. Clivia plants grown in pots must be planted in a well drained mix. Plants should not be watered more than once a week in the growing season and even less during the rest of the year. Plant food with a high content of potash at the end of the Winter into Spring, can encourage this.

Place in potting soil, put in dark for 6 weeks, then bring them out, water, keep evenly moist, not soggy. They will sprout within a week or 2. Slow growing. have fun
