Yes and yes. I have in fact kept the letters I've received (I actually keep ALL letters I receive!) and love to look at them again - vanity as well as sentimentality I suppose - even though the writer and I are no longer lovers but friends. I did decide afterwards that I would never again put anything into writing of a very personal nature because I felt I could not trust anyone again, but .....!

Loads of both.Four weeks after my marriage my husband went abroad with the Air force and I couldn't join him until nearly four months later,so between the two of us we kept the manufacturers of Airmail writing pads in business ! Both of us still have all the letters, we have been married 44 years. It would all be so much easier now with E mail, web cams and skype but back then it was not even easy for him to phone,he was in Aden and telecommunications weren't good.We only got to speak to each other 3 times.!

I've written and received many. I usually keep the ones I receive. It's nice to go back and read them from time to time. Beautiful memories . . .

Yes and I do treasure them!
Love Letters
Love letters straight from your heart,
Keep us so near while apart.
I'm not alone in the night,
When I can have all the love you write . . .

I memorize every line,
I kiss the name that you sign.
And darling, then I read again right from the start,
Love letters straight from your heart . . .

My ex and I used to write each other "love letters" back and forth. It actually got a little weird; we both ran out of things to say... Lol.
