Canada? Aren't the Americans friends?

The law of sea proclaims 150 mile limit from a shoreline therefore all that region would be Canadian territiry and the assets to be found under that sea would be Canadian. Also the North West Passage is Canadian internal waters.

Friends are permitted to have disagreements without allowing those disagreements to flush the entire relationship.

Its a sign of the strength of the relationship that we Can disagree or dispute something like this without resorting to threats or gunplay.

I thought that under international agreement the Arctic and Antarctic belonged to no individual country and that is why countries operate research bases in order to maintain a claim on these regions!

Parts of Canada must lie within the Arctic circle and these are obviously owned by them along with parts of the ocean around Canada's shores.

The Arctic belongs to the WORLD, like EVERYTHING ELSE in the WORLD belongs to the WORLD. God crected the WORLDfor EVERYONE, not for people to CLAIM their OWN PIECE of it and call it their OWN.
