happiness comes from many a source. happiness from an external source ie.a companion,a form of entertainment or even the dawning of a beautiful morning may be thought of as "secondary happiness, true happiness can only be found within thyself. maybe we are all looking in the wrong place, true happiness won't be found in the likes of a supermart or online chatroom....... goodluck my friends...

Anyone with the inability to be happy on their own is insecure and highly driven by their egos.

I need no one. I am completely happy and it means everything.

Happiness is just an ego illusion with the opposite always being pain.

You may be with a partner and be very "happy" but when they leave you there will be complete torment and despair..........how is that happiness?? It is just a fake neediness, a filling of the void, a void which will inevitably always return as long as your ego is still active.

True JOY can be found by non reliance on the external, moving with the cosmic flow of life instead of resisting it, learning to live completely in the present moment, and completely accepting the impermanent nature of the world.

Happiness is just a quick fix for the needy.

Happiness is any one's desire to be but if there is no one to share your happiness it will be nothing. The happiness will only be you but will it make any difference. You will be crazy if there is no one to share.

their are many types of happiness but if you need someone else to be happy then is that really happiness or is it something else.
happiness is feeling pleasure or/and satisfaction with something and is impermanent.
anyone can be happy but what makes you happy may not make another happy, and nothing in and of itself is purely happiness as then that happiness which is brought about by something doesn't last at the same level permanently after it is removed and the memory of it doesn't bring equal amounts of happiness every time it is thought of.

Why should you need someone to share it with?
I enjoy being on my own, and have learnt to appreciate happiness without sharing it.

The joys of moving to an insular country... :)

if you are happy with no one to share it with perhaps thats part of what made you happy in the first place.

Without someone to share it with, it's contentment. However, having someone (even a pet) is better. Friends and family count. Doesn't have to be a significant other.
