Im from Florida and I have visited California. From my point of view there are no beaches in Cal. They have only a coastline. If you want the best of the best, then visit Florida

If you want to surf, California. If you want to enjoy the beach and the nice warm water, Florida.

California beaches are more picturesque & have weirder people...but Florida beaches have better sands & swimming but no surfing. California sand is gritty & grubby...Florida sand is white as sugar. California beaches have hunks & surfer chicks...Florida beaches have grannies & more Kosher food. Depends on what you like...swimming or swanning?

Florida.
Personally, I would MUCH prefer being in California, but that's not because of beaches per se.

i live in cali. and honestly, if you are looking to take a vacation next year dont go/ stay in the USA. go somewhere exotic...like south america - brazil or better yet go to sout east asia- vietnam has amazing beaches, or thailand. the islands are something you find on a calander...trust me. its cheaper, friendlier, and the beaches are fantastic!!!!
