Hi,

I'm trying to plan a weekend break to Tuscany with my partner. I want it to be perfect because I'm going to propose to her!
What is the best/most beautiful area to go to & any suggestions of cool/luxury hotels.
Money isn't really a worry, like I say I want it to be perfect.

Thanks for your help.

There is a place 60 Km north of Rome that is called solo per due= only for two. It's the smallest restaurant of the world, you can guess why. It is well known also among tourist for its pecularity. They also provide thier guests with accomodation. The web site is www.soloperdue.it. Look it up, it might be a romantic (and also expensive) idea, even if I don't think it's in Tuscany. anyway it's not far from the border
Congratulation, by the way, for your wedding!

chianti without a doubt is one of the most romantic regions in Italy. The countryside is wonderful and obviously with the wine comes the food and there are so many fantastic restaurants it's hard to find which one to choose. There's one restaurant called La Bottega in Villa a Sesta which has 2 michelin stars. The owner is really eccentric and and food and wines are exceptional. I've booked accommodation through these guys before but I'm not sure if they do weekend breaks http://www.holiday-velvet.com/tuscany

Good luck with the proposal

There are very many beautiful places in Tuscany. check the internet for that. But, if you are taking your girlfriend to Italy to propose to her and you want it to be something soooo romantic that she will never forget it then why dont you go on a day trip from wherever you will be in Tuscany to the city of Verona and propose to her right under Romoe and Juliets balcony? Its very easy to find right in the center of the old city.

Siena or Florence. You could take her to the Roman Amphitheatre in Fiesole and pop the question there.

Siena is beautiful, you could stay in the main square and there are lovely restuarants to eat in that are very exclusive. though if it was me i would reccomend hiring a car and driving into one of the little villages and doing it there outside an old church. you could take to venice but this is very cliched!
good luck
