At this point it is still early to have a 20/20 world cup because most of teams haven't played that many international 20/20 matches. In this world cup India, Pakistan and Sri Lankan side would be playing their 3rd or 4th, 20/20 match. If you see the short record South Africa have some players with good 20/20 skills. Other teams that can compete South Africa are Australia and New Zealand.

20/20 cricket is more or less a lottery. The best can be kicked out and the worst can be the victors.
Australia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, New Zealand etc. all have the chance of winning the cup - if the forms hold true !!

Strength of the team does not necessarily help any team to win any tournament. What is required to win a tournament is consistent performance during the tournament.
