As long as the United States keeps getting needlessly bogged down in foreign conflicts and continues a policy of borrowing and spending to fund such conflicts, it will inevitably speed up the process of the Chinese overtaking the US as the world's largest economic superpower. America's only saving grace is its powerful military, but then that would be of no use as the money runs out and our debt to foreign creditors (China mainly) rises.

China actually has a faster growing more stable economy and a larger military (in troop numbers) yet spends less than a 10th what the US spends on military. it seems inevitable that china will overcome the US if it hasn't already.

China is booming economically and the US is already indebted to it. If the Americans will not change, China will become stronger militarily and this could be the predicament in the future.
