Which is the correct version? I'm guessing 'There'

the correct version is going there. the word 'there' is as in a place whereas the word 'their' is as in posession such as 'it is their's'. hope this has helped you and if you remember this then you will have no trouble remembering what there/their goes where.

One way to remember that is by relating it to the spelling of where (as in where are you going). Where of course indicates a place....change the W to T and that indicates a place too (I am going there.)

Going THERE if you are referring to a place. Going THEIR if you are referring to a person as in "going their own way"

cause "their" is a possessive pronoun so it cant be used after a movement verb without a preposition ( to , at ...) and "there" is a pronoun referring to a place!

There as "their" refers to something belonging to someone:

Ex 1:
"I'm going there later tonight"

Ex 2:
"I'm going to their house later tonight"

Their is used to suggest ownership "It's their book" for instance.

There is used to suggest a place or destination.

It's tricky. Tracy and Deanna are going their own ways is correct but so is I am going there.
