I wish we could and would, but I don't see that happening. We continue to remain with a group that is primarily anti-American and they certainly don't serve our own best interest. If you study the history of our involvement and why we're members of the UN, you'll discover that it was a communist KGB agent from within our own country, who originally made those arrangements. The UN has been anything but advantageous for us.

I don't see us leaving them because I believe that the long range plans are for them to eventually get more power as globalization continues along it's merry way. Again, our politicians know what's happening, but continue to pull the wool over the eyes of us, the voters.

the UN has its uses. its a good dipository for international treaties. And it keeps useless people from actually doing something that matters to the world.

Lots of uncool people in the UN. Thats why the US stopped paying dues, it didn't want its reputation soiled.

as long as democrats will coddle people who think it was ok for saddam and others to openly defy the un without fear of reprisal what would you expect? universal success??? your only as good as your support structure and liberals dont support it.
