ime 14 and talk to alot of 20 pluss people on the net my dad says its illegal and the police will track them down I find this laughable and am pretie shure its not illegal do you think it is and whats your opinion on it

I suppose it matters what your emails r about are they all innocent and if so no harm, but if they are at all too adult like talk u can get alot of folks in alot of trouble. Just keep it real and nice. I cannot say much I always hung out with older people but advice from a young mom of three whose daddy passed away less than 2 yrs ago ,Be young enjoy your youth don't let your early freedom for being yopung pass u by . You will have time to be twenty when it gets here , I was just 14 and I feel like bam first y2k 2000 and now eek, I am in my mid 20's .Listen to your Dad,Obedeince is appropriate at any age and 9 times out of ten Dad's r usually right even in this case. You might think its ok to talk to people that much older than you but the people you talk to should know better and if people at that age are talking to you then they are probably up to no good. It might not be illegal but it is wrong. There is too much of an age gap there to have much in common. I know you hear it all the time but please remember to not give out any kind of personal info on yourself. There are alot of people out there that are up to no good and just because you know they are out there does not mean you are exempt from their attacks. Just be careful.

That depends on what you are talking to them about. If it is sex, then it is illegal. You should be very careful about giving any info about yourself to people online. It can be dangerous. There are so many weirdos, and pedophiles out there!!!

It isn't illegal unless the talk turns to sex or the person tries to find you.
It is dangerous though and the wrong one will eventually figure out where you are and get you!
