You may get it to work for a little bit, but eventually, the Angels will get big enough to take bites out of the Guppies's tails. It might work if you had a 40+ gallon tank, but other than that, the Guppies will probably get nipped quite often.

Angelfish get 6 inches long and should not be kept in tanks less than 30 gallons. But when kept with fish that may become prey, they will need more space to allow the prey fish (Guppies) to hide.

I've kept guppies and Angel fish in the same tank, but remember if you get a small Angel fish they get pretty big so make sure you have a good size tank.

Angel Fish get quite large and are often aggressive toward their tank mates. I've kept them together in the past but no longer do so. If you decide to put them together, insure there are plenty of tall plants and other escape areas that the guppies can get to post-haste!
