and please dont be so credulous as to say 'evolution' since evolution is still as theoretical as the day it was conjured up.

Why Must You Always Seek Proof, We Do Not Ask For Proof That We Live Or For The Composition of The Air That We Breath. We Accept That If We Jump In A Lake Any One Of Several Things May Happen But The One Sure Thing Is That We Will Get Wet. We Don't Need Proof Of That.
Can You Prove That E=Mc2 or That The Force Acting Upon Your Body When You Jump Off A Diving Board Is Gravity. We Don't Ask For Proof When It Comes To Every Day Things, After All They Are Written In Books By Eminent Scientists And Philosophers Therefore Who Are We To Argue Unless You Happen To Be A Rocket Scientist Who's Just Made A Brand New Discovery.
Most Of Us Accept Books Written As Factual Representation To Be Gospel. Why Not Then The Gospel Or Any Other Religious Manuscript Written From First Hand Account!

evolution doesn't disprove the bible actually, i find it amazing why so many faithful christians think it does... it absolutley does not. The same religions that say evolution is against the bible also say that the bible should be left to interpretation, than why would genisis be any different?

evolution does not say "there is not a god" nor does it say "god did not create us"

as far as disproving the bible, the best way is to read it. in a court of law the bible would lose because it is so full of contradictions ie. "god is all loving kind and merciful but will send you to rot in hell or kill you if u don't believe" or to say "god is all knowing" yet seemed as quite a surprise when adam and eve sinned.. things like that, the bible disproves itself perfectly.

Once again this question is a r s e about face.

The onus is on the originators (or believers) of any theory or religion etc to provide the proof - not for the opposers to disprove it.

It is akin to me making the statement that all dinosaurs spoke English and challenging people to prove that I am wrong.........can't be done.

Thus - you state that evolution is theoretical, whereas others argue that it is a solid theory. I could give you a list of archaeological and historical reasons why I believe the Bible to be, at best, an allegory with some possible distorted historical facts thrown in.

.......but what's the point in me wasting my time when you've already stated your position and made your own question rhetorical?

The fairy tales of the bible have been debunked many times over. You do know that there were many councils that voted on what to exclude/include in the bible? The Council of Nicea (which was ordered by Constantine the Great to "standardize" Xianity) could not agree on some of the books to include so Constantine (who was a pagan at that time) decreed which books would be acceptable to Xian dogma and would therefore be accepted into the Bible, in other words, your bible was established by a PAGAN!!!!!

Christian dogma expects people to believe the fairy tale of Noah’s ark, although it is patently impossible to squeeze even samples of billions of the world’s animals into one small ark. Rational persons consider such stories ludicrous. And yet, such is the brainwashing power of religion.

The bible account of the creation of man and the universe, as set forth in the Book of Genesis, is in such contradiction to irrefutable facts that a rational person cannot help but laugh about such fantasies. It may be all right for children to believe in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy, but functional adults are expected to outgrow such fairy tales.

For those who claim that their god is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient, I propose these questions: Why didn't it tell everyone the same thing at the same time? Why was your god not able to spread the word of it's existence beyond the constraints of the land masses without its believers having to conquer non-believers and force its existence on them without proof?

Presumably for the same reason we can't disprove Santa Claus and his toy factory at the North Pole - someone can always come up with some special pleading as to why the god of the Bible is inevident.

You could ask the same thing about the Koran, or the Bhagavad Gita, or the Da Vinci Code, or Harry Potter.

some things in the bible have been disproved. others have a lot of proof. It's like any other book written in human history.

Its not necessary to disprove it i think. Its a narrative about how things actually happened. Why must it be disproved?
