This is really an unanswerable question and is same as if trying to guess your name.

India have a upperhand when they went in, because they'd defeated England last time 6-1 but this was in India. They also came to Rose Bowl (Southampton/Venue of 1st ODI) with lots of confidence after beating England 1-0 in tests.

India also have defeated England 7 times in the last 10 games, a win% of 70. Indians have also registered wonderful series win's over here the last being NatWest Tri-Series triumph over England in finals. The other advantage being a
a 2-1 defeat to West Indies in a 3-ODI series last month.

But - England have lots of home advantage. Sidebottom might be out for 1st ODI but A Flintoff is back. Flintoff was superb so far at home. Lets see hope for the best

As an English man it saddens me to say the chaps from India
one once again will triumph over weaker opponents
plus we have a wicket keeper with a pound of butter
in each hand.
Shame on ye of little faith,Indian was well and truly beaten
by England.I watched the match and India were beaten in
every department, the bowlers were very poor the fielder
were really lazy and bad,the batting was dread full they
were bowled out for 180 England is the better team
and on this showing they will win every single match.

From my point of view India is strong contender to win Todays match or this seven match ODI series. Indians has strong and experience player than England so they have bright chance than England team. Players like Yuvraj and M.S Dhoni has a talent that can change whole course of the match at any time.
