This was a sick, vile, disgusting crime. I don't consider drowning and hanging to be quick deaths. The laws for these things are not a very big price to pay. I think if you will torture and then kill a defenseless animal then whats to stop you from killing a person. He should be banned for good and jail for 10 years. These sports hero's think they can do anything because of all the money that is thrown there way. He can say he is sorry, but he is only sorry he got caught with blood on his hands. I'm not from another country but if i was i would be as disgusted as i am now.

Good question! The NFL needs to take a stand against stuff like this. I think a lifetime ban is rather harsh, but is fitting because Vick is in the public eye.

However, since Vick is the first to do this, he should only be given a 5 year ban. He should be allowed back when he turns 32 years old.

However, I believe the NFL needs to state a mandatory lifetime ban for those caught in the future. I know it's harsh, but these players are in the public eye. Harsh penalties causes people to think. Remember Amare Stoudimire got suspended for getting off the bench. He didn't even throw a punch. How bogus was that? I thought the Suns got robbed. But the rules are the rules, and eventually people will listen.

What Vick did is an abomination to animals everywhere. Here's a good question though. What do you think the greyhound racing industry does every day? Not only do they use animals for profit, They kill them when they don't perform. The only good thing Vick did was kill the animals reasonably quickly. Many greyhounds are simply left to die a slow death due to starvation.

Vick is a dick.

Greyhounds are greyt!

If Vick broke the law then, he must pay the dues, if you "talk the talk, you walk the walk"

It's a pretty poor sport that we have with our younger generation that we have to have perpetrators on the teams and they get away with everything to they from steroids, drugs, to gang rapes and even attempted murder.

What kind of message are we sending to our younger generation if we allow not only this but then, pay them higher wages the medical professionals that are in the business of saving lives, this is a poor society we have that condones this type of action.

As with Pete Rose, later his son, make them pay the price by excising them from sports and baning them from the game. They have no more rights then you or me.
He should at least 'fess up and take his punishment, show us who he really is instead of acting so arrogant and uppity.
