i am interested in both interior and exterior (engine and body) modifications. headers, exhaust, air intake, and suspension are what interest me most right now

If it's working fine don't bother. There's really nothing that would need to be done for such a car (and if you want the car to work when you need it you should stay the hell away from after market modifications anyway, especially if you're on a limited budget).

The AEM cold air intake and other brands are good deals at most places. I recommend the Comptech Ice Box, costs a bit more though, and the Comptech exhaust header if you can find it. At the least, K & N and HKS make a replacement panel filter.
Also, there are a lot of ignition parts such as Denso Iridium plugs and NGK cables that work nicely and good for a budget. In fact there are many parts that fit and improve this engine. It did come from the same family as the Integra Type R. Good Luck.

leave everything stock!!! there is only one crv in my life that was fast and I belive it was only 2wd had gsr head and believe trans and turbo ran somewhere in the 11's
