It does indeed. Keep smoking, and you'll soon be as thin as a skeleton.

Smoking does not help you lose weight, the only reason smokers say it does is because smoking destroys your taste buds so you dont enjoy food as much. It also ruins your appetite so you dont feel like eating straight away after a ciggarette. The problem is it can sometimes stop you wanting a meal but you still snack so if smoking isnt unhealthy enough for you then increased snacking certainly is!

Also the reason people put on weight after giving up smoking is because they replace their ciggarettes with food to help them cope with the cravings, and then they cant stop the snacking so they are still living unhealthy. Dont start smoking - take it from someone who knows it is one of the most difficult things to stop doing.

No smoking definately doesn't help you lose weight, the only way to lose weight is to exercise more and eat less.
Also, you put on weight as you get older, and it gets harder and harder to lose. My philosophy on life is "Never give up"

It reduces your appetite for food, so can cause some weight loss. Conversely there is a danger of gaining weight when you give up smoking.

(It can also make you very ill or very dead.)
