Uhm yeah, just hope the wind doesn't get in the way of a last second make it or break it buzzerbeater in quadruple overtime of a Game 7 NBA Finals. I hate when that happens.

Nope, not at all. Basketball is played inside to play on the wooden court which is much easier on the knees; otherwise, NBA players would have careers of 8 or 9 years at the longest. Plus, the wind seemingly is always blowing, so if you are Shaq who has a power basketball game and can't make a free throw, the wind wouldn't bother him, but the asphalt or concrete court would have probably eneded his NBA career after 6 or 7 years as hard surfaces do not agree with knees, body joints, or with big bodies.

Playing outside would eliminate the medium to long range jumpers and impact free throws because of the wind. If you could guess how hard the wind was blowing would make you a better than average outside shooter but still a terrible shooter compared to the indoor NBA game.

there is something very distinctive approximately how the NBA video games have been carried out and how this became carried out. Im uncertain that the newness of the NHL video games might prepare interior the NBA, the NHL video games have been held interior the process iciness, reconnecting the sport with its pond hockey roots. at a similar time as i comprehend that basketball is frequently performed exterior, i dont think of the climate or the region play as lots of a place interior the nostalgia of the sport. A game interior the Cage in ny could be incredibly cool, different than there is not any thank you to make it a competent spectator game, so it would possibly in no way be carried out.

I don't know if you've ever realized it, but basketball season is in the winter. I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun playing a basketball game outside in Minnesota in the middle of January. Or Denver, we could ski when the game is over. I wonder how many people will show up to the game.

Probably lots more injuries. And fewer fans because the weather would be cold. If they played outside they would have to change basketball to a summer game? How about Hockey outside?

No.

It wouldn't be cool outdoors. And just to eliminate further questions - it wouldn't be cool to play underwater or in zero gravity. It wouldn't be cool to play with 2 basketballs in play. It woudn't be cool to have moving backboards. It wouldn't be cool to play on a mud-court. And it certainly wouldn't be cool to play on ice.
