Hell yeah. That idiot should get a long sentence at least for repeated drugs offences and crimes against the fashion industry.
DEEP THEY ROT - anagram for Pete Doherty.
And so he should.

As much as it shocks me, i find myself agreeing with you on this.
Where is our very own babyshambles? Find her daves & bring her back...
Edit: On second thoughts... I do not like your glee in wishing you were a judge. You're too judgemental as it is. And remember addiction is a desease. Pete D needs rehab & quick.... not someone wiping off the smile off his face (he could well he on a high & is not even aware that hes grinning...)
Edit: : ) Barbie: You can't "try to make someone go" to rehab. Give him a choice: Jail or rehab. He'll go willingly. And not to some posh health club where he can check out when he pleases. Somewhere where he needs to wake up at 5am, do yoga, sweep the yard, contemplate, reflect and learn to live the 12 steps. He could well be a great guy deep inside. Not fooling anymore.

The trouble is that while Doherty will walk free so will a thousand other scumbags up and down the country because of the mamby pamby society we live in.
The only deterrent to these parasites and pariahs is jail and if we are full then ship the b*stards to Guantanamo Bay or build our own version of it.
Treat them with the contempt they hold for society.

There is the old saying amongst the legal profession that one can have as much Justice as one can afford. Such is the case with Mr. Doherty.
The young man in question, will probably walk free from court or at worse sent to rehab.again.
But I do believe that a man who abuses himself as much as he does, that eventually his negativity towards himself and others will reap its own rewards.

This low life should have gone to jail a long time ago. I have been saying for a while that somebody related to him must work in the judicial sysmtem. If it were the likes of you or I we would've been banged up and had the key thrown away by now.

If we put all the junk heads in prison, we'd have to build three times as many prisons to accommodate them all. I don't fancy paying for them, I'd rather my taxes were spent on something more productive. Leave Doherty alone - his lifestyle is self-limiting. Gaoling him will only extend it.

No-one walks away from court that often, there has to be some-thing going on.Maybe he's dropping his trousers for some-one high up in the government,or the law.I do believe he is being protected.
