Better a broken promise than none at all....Mark Twain??!!!?

Is this true?
I've been hearing promises and promises from my fiance and most of them he never make...
I would prefere if he no promise me than never make it.
I don't know how to stop him promising me and not making!!! ... Any advices?

Next time he makes a promise, just tell him that you are tired of his broken promises, and that you would rather he not promise than lie to you.

Whenever you hear 'I promise ...' politely request not to make any. Request the person just to say simply without saying ' I promise ...' or 'this is my promise ....'.
