The "anything goes" attitude and subsequent tolerance and easy acceptance of most all things by previously credible people of previously incredulous people. Almost all social standards have been whacked. Who besides me remembers growing up in the 50's or 60's as a child, and you respected your married parents (Mom & Dad), who worked hard and made weekly visits as a family, sharing dinners at the table, in warm homes where the elders were most respected and cared for.
Now it's rampant gay sexuality, mixed-racial child-bearing (marriage unnecessary), obesity and bad health and "disability," pain-killers ("so what are you taking now?")
All those futuristic, speculative books from the 60's & 70's were so prophetic, huh? Where did all the normal people go?
Am I missing your question, or nailing it?

That this is a temporary existence leading to an everlasting peace. Folks, this is the big show, no reruns or editing. And when the curtain comes down, that's it. Not even a chance for curtain calls.

I have noticed through many years now that most people want instant gratification and are selfish and want their needs and wants and desires met right now...
It is the "ME" generation and they all want to be taken care of without having to work for it...
My mother and I both worked at different jobs each over 20 years...
We both got older and got bad health...
We talked to younger folks that want our work hours and our pay rate and our benefits and our lifestyle and vacation time and all we worked for over our years of working, but they want it all now...
They don't want to work for it...
Even my now married daughter in her 20's wants everything now...
So she and her husband have bought so many things, like furniture, clothes, jewelry, TV's, CD's, DVD's, cars, computers, toys for my grandson, and everything they need or want when they go shopping...
They are severely in debt but they have their "things" now...
It will come back to haunt them in paying off these things one day and that will be a sad day indeed...
I have lived through the same thing with two divorces and husbands I had...
I got left with nothing but bad credit...
So this is what I see...
This is what I notice in the attitude of man kind...

In a group of three, if one go away, the other two gossip about
him/her. It is most common and strange thing, which surprises me always.

human greed makes the world goes round~
men are always never satisfied with something. when they strived for something good, they wanted something better.. hence ppl are always striving for the best. no wonder the world today is so competitive.
i guess men should learn to appreciate what they have, and have a reasonable degree of self-satisfaction!

That many of them choose not to have opinions, and consequently follow around the few who do, weather the opinions being expressed are right or not.
