I hear a lot of people stating that baseball is boring because it's a slower game. So my question is... what is the most boring thing to watch in any given sport??? Any sport whatsoever.
Whether it be watching a standard baseball game, or the 4th quarter of a football game where one team is up 35-7? Kneel down plays at the end of football games... the last 5 minutes of any basketball game, the fouls, the time outs, the freethrows... ugh (just freaking get on with it already).

Vincent... Soccer games are long as hell? You do know that soccer games are played for 90 minutes. Half the time of your standard baseball or football game. and nearly as long as the last 5 minutes of any basketball game.
and to be honest... if a soccer game is played and the final score is 3-1, would you call that a low score? it's relative to a 21-7 score on a football game. just as much scoring, but the football game lasts twice as long....

Guaranteed... if you suffer from insomnia... try watching Cricket. It will cure it.
I don't mean to insult our British friends, but guys and gals... I really tried watching Cricket and fell asleep every time.
Right up there giving Cricket a run for the spot are Soccer and Golf. Booorrr-rrrinnnggg

theres a couple of them. When you try to run out the clock on any play on a football game. Time outs in any game. Baseball is my favorite sport and I dont think its boring. The crowd is the best when they get really into it and chants and stuff. Hockey is definatly not boring. There's fights and checking happening all the time. Curling is a little boring though. Golf is not the best also. Race Car Racing is boring when they are just driving. When someone cuts someone off and they swerve into a wall or a car flips then its exciting, but you gotta think that the driver must be hurt. My last one is when for 30 seconds a basketball player stands on the other side of the court for the end of the game.

Im surprised noone said WNBA yet, but i personally cant stand soccer the game is long as hell, and they never score goals... hockey minus sticks, ice, and men with upper body strength=soccer, and Wedge, the reason that last 5 minutes of basketball, quarter of football, or baseball games last so long is because those three sports are proven winners in the United States market. The only reason anyone trys to watch soccer is because the rest of the world is crammin it down our throats. Sponsers and other people paying millions of dollars to advertise are completely in there right minds ignoring soccer, and prolonging the football, baseball, and basketball games. Havent you ever heard of a TV timeout? Also there is alot more that happens on the way to a "goal" in American Football than there is in soccer, in both content and variety of action. Dont try to compare the two. In the future remember you asked others for there opinions dont criticize them.

I'd say if scoring is your thing soccer can be pretty boring.
A 3-1 game in soccer? How often are 3 goals scored at the world class level unless of course its against the United States men's team, I seem to remember our getting smoked like 5-0 in the World Cup a few years back. Still the athleticism in soccer makes it a beautiful game and the action certainly is steady.
Do you remember when Olympic figure skaters had to do the school figures or whatever they called them before they did the short program? Watching grass grow was more exciting.

Soccer is really boring. They spend most of the game running back and forth without scoring and the game usually ends 2-1 or something low. Maybe it wouldn't be so boring if the score was like, 25-20.

The day before and the day after the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in mid-July often feature no major professional sports because football, basketball and hockey are out of season and college teams don't play in July. I think that those two days are the most boring days in sports.

To me, the most boring thing to watch is a slam dunk in basketball. For years I have contended that the basket should be raised 6 inches for the next 4 years, so that at the end of the 4 years, it would be 12' above the court surface. Then, the slam dunk should be outlawed.
