1910, 1950, 1900, 1970, 1940, 1960 would be tops
least of course is 1920 and 1930 because of the depression

The 40's because despite the war years there were no drugs,apart from tobacco; little crime, people were polite and cared for each other, no TV to pollute young minds, few cars (where I grew up) to pollute the atmosphere. No McDonalds and other fast food outlets. Everyone was more healthy - walked to school, in fact walked everywhere. Childhood, at least, was more enjoyable, we were never bored and we made our own fun.

I've only experienced a few of them, so I don't know that I can give you an accurate answer. Although I did enjoy the crap out of the 80's (as much of it that I remember anyway)
