I have to go to the doctor's tomorrow and I'm so scared. Not to mention I have to go alone and I'm scared I won't even be able to find it.

I'm scared there is going to be something wrong with me, like a hormonal imbalance. I know I have to go because I have been losing my hair drastically along with a lot of symptoms people with hormonal imbalances have.

But I'm so scared. No one close to me, especially my family knows why I'm going to the doctor. I don't want to make people worry if it turns out I'm fine.

What should I do because I can't get rid of this anxiety? I'm soo worried.

You need to mention this anxiety in addition to the symptoms- it could be related.

Most importantly, know that the dr. is there to help you, and that you are ultimately in control of what happens in your care. Ask lots of questions, and write things down if you want to look them up later. Be proactive in your care.

Hormone imbalances are not a big deal, and you'll be a zillion times better off knowing with certainty what's going on, not scaring yourself with 'maybe' like now. Go, breathe.

You'll do fine, and they'll help you.

God bless, and take care of you.

Cheers!

You are working yourself up over something that could very well turn out to be a simple problem easily taken care of. For starters, what's the point of having a family if not to share worries with? Part of being a member of a family or having a close relationship is the sharing of joys and misery- to multiply one and divide the other. You don't "make" anyone worry, that's a decision that should best be left to the person, don't you think? I'm not saying to make this dinner table conversation for the whole family, but at least if you clued in a female adult member of the family, you'd have an understanding compatriot there. And quite possibly discover some info that might just be of great help to you. Limitations of the web mean that none of us can offer more than words, and not even that in person. What you need is a warm, live body that cares about you- not a bunch of people on YA, and heaven knows the various ninnies that can hang out here. You want to feel better? Go find a member of your family to talk to. That's what family is for.

I agree with everyone else here. I think it is important to take someone with you not only to help support you in this but also to help you get all your questions answered. I know from my own experience that sometimes we forget to tell the doctor everything they need to know because we either are embarrassed or we just plain freak out. If you feel that you absolutely can not tell anyone then I suggest right now you write down everything that you are worried about. Write down all your symptoms and worries this way you wont forget what they are. Also if you do get embarrassed and feel like you don't want to tell the doctor something than you can just give him/her the list. I feel the same anxiety every time I have to go to the doctor so I totally understand where you are coming from. Just remember that the sooner this problem is figured out the quicker you can get it fixed and can get on the road to recovery. I Hope this answer helps and I want you to know I will be praying for you. Good Luck and God Bless!

tell one person, even just one will help you. Maybe that person could go with you to the doctor.
if you really dont want to do that (though Im sure they wouldnt mind if you ended up fine in the end) then just breathe and know that everything will turn out okay in the end and that the doctors will take care of whatever is going on.

Try some relaxing music to see if that helps, and also please let someone in your family know that you are going. They may understand better than you think. And like one of the other posters said let the doctor know as well about this anxiety that you have about the appt. If the doctor is really good they will try to do their best to help you relax as well.
