Is ICL a good or bad thing to happen to indian cricket? Should ICL and BCCI partner each other?

The creame of Indian talent has moved to ICL, except for many in the A team touring Kenya under Mohammed Kaif's captancy there is not much talent around.
Several of these players like A Rayadu who joined ICL maybe deserved a better treatment. The fact that most of Hydrabad Ranji team has left should speak volumes on how bad Venkatapathy Raju has handled their account.
BCCI's hands are tied since India since at any given point of time only 15 can be selected from a vast pool.
ICL is giving the Indian public to see a lot of alternative players whom we have not seen playing before.
Public and private enterprise should join hands is my opinion. Surely if BCCI and ICL work together it would better the standard of Indian cricket and treat the cricket loving people of India to a better spectacle.

I think ICL is a very good idea adopted by Zee bcz ofcourse its a treat 4 the fans who can now watch players like Warne , Lara , McGrath , Inzamam , Razzaq are playing and if u remember Klusner former Proteas player & my fvr8 is also shake hands with ICL . Kapil Dev is the chairman. wooooooow .I m waiting 4 it.
And now 2 ur question ya it brings pride 2 india bcz earlier it was only in England countys wher foreigner players could play . It also brings more opportunities to young indian players who can gain more experience by already playing with the likes of wanre ,lara, inzy .
It also awakens BCCI bcz now they will also try to give better facilities 2 the players to save them 4rm joining ICL .so from a players point of view its great and thats why dont like it bcz they can not act like boss on the players now & hv to do more head beating in their strategies.

India is a country of well over 1 billion people, many of whom are from my understanding cricketing mad. There is no reason why they shouldn't be able to produce 50 teams as good as the Australian team selected from only 20 million people. So obviously there is something seriously wrong with Indian cricket. If the ICL goes some way to solving this problem, then it can only be good for the cricketing world. Just as World Series Cricket did in the 70s, the ICL will have a major impact on the future of world cricket.

Very well said, a few months back I had answered a similar question.The question was "how can we improve the level of sports in India."I will answer it in a same fashion,there are many who are from a lower middle class families and they need attantion so that they can cope up with their personal situation and come up.BCCI is a rich team and no dought with a rich quality of players but there are others who are lagging behind and I feel ICL has done a good job by giving them this chance and a platform,on the other hand BCCI could have done a good job by supporting the cause but they have not taken it positively and they have not taken the outer look of the same as to why it has been supported by so many people.

It is good as it is promoting cricket in a right way nto rong.

It is good as many cricketers don't get a chance to play for their nation but their talent can be seen which otherwise would be hidden.

besides that more talents can be formed. BCCI's trophies like Ranji, duleep, irani, etc will produce superb talents along with the ICL there4 double talents produced.

BCCI and ICL should comprise somehow. Or else if in ICL any good talent is seen, BCCI will be tempted & forced to bring him and play for the nation.

ICL is defenitely a good thing for the progress of Indian Cricket as many talented youngsters will have opportunity to show their worth and come into lime light. I strongly feel that both BCCI and ICL should co-ordinate each other in the interest of Indian cricket.

BCCI has unlimited money. Wherever unlimited money is there the brains will not be there.
BCCI should not be a monopoly. If monopoly then the best cannot come out. ICL should be encouraged.
Presently too many cooks are spoiling BCCI.
ICL would not have come if BCCI was perfect.

ICL is reallly a good idea because it is a ray of hope for many unrecognised talents..BCCI's monopoly should end..Afterall it isn't a governmant body to say that all players under BCCI represent India...It has no right to ban those whose opt for ICL..

If ther are no loopholes in the working of BCCI , ICL wouldnt have emerged at all.

For a big country like India BCCI should have broad views for the welfare of the cricketers at different level which will only strengthen Indian cricket.
It is high time it recognised ICL and think of accommodating them to take care of cricket at Ranji level While BCCI can concentrate at International level,and channelise funds to First class(Ranji),college and schools cricket with meticulous planning.
Can there be anything better for our youngsters to play under the guidance of the Great Kapildev and alongside stalwarts like Lara,Inzamam etc..
Cricket India will only stand to gain from them.
Mr Sharad Pawar please take a cricketing stance and remove the political face.

ICL is good compared to BCCI.BCCI is the richest board in cricket but not giving value and money to the talented players .if plays politics in selection,otherwise rayudu should get chance before 1 r 2 years,better both should join for successful teams
