Memories are "being" created each moment. Good, bad or indifferent. We have substantial control of our choices, but not 100%. I choose to have a glass of brandy & click away here as the cool breeze comes into my office window, which will soon be a memory, & not likely one on which I'll ponder later. Memories come to me from time to time, but I prefer living the "moment."

Remembering memories is remembering the past, creating memories is in the now and future.

You can only look back on what was created. The memory was created, then you remember what was created just a few seconds ago or several years ago for that matter.

Terrific question. We all remember our memories but in the remembering we are distorting, mis-remembering, embellishing things, so as we remember, we also create. In the end, the way you remember a memory, even if it is only your own flawed remembering, is your own truth. Unless what you remember is harmful or unfair to someone else, or dangerous--and false. We remember and create as part of remembering. So they are one in the same.

A memory has to be created for it to become a memory.

Both. It's impossible to remember it all, and my mind fills out the "blanks" sometimes even creating better memories than the ones I started out with.

Depends on if you believe in life after death. If you believe that the soul lives on eternally and that the path you are walking now is the one you have walked before.

I believe I've walked this path before and that I am not remembering memories, however. I believe I am experiencing similiar experiences from a previous life and am creating additional memories.

Ahhh!! You just reminded me to always remember not to forget to always remember not to forget to remember to...... wait a minute.... uh... what was the question again? Can you ask us another one, and, are you enjoying the memories that you are creating presently? For both us and yourself? Are you working on some literary project?
Hmmmm??

in order to remember a memory you must create it first, that is reviewing the scene that impressed you (imprinting) until your brain can show you the movie whenever you choose (remembering)
