female crickets do not have stingers that is called a ovipositor its used to plant the eggs in the ground. try to determine how many crickets your boys eat at a time. wait 2 days then place 10 small crickets in the tank at a time till they stop eating in a 15 minute period. say in 15 minutes they eat 20 crickets it helps give you a base number to start with. next time you go to feed only buy 20 crickets. also try and remove any crickets left over after 15 minutes and place them in a 10 gal aquarium you can house your own crickets very cheaply and when they become adults if its your wish allow them to breed and save money. to keep the noise down capture the males they will be the one without the pointy looking tube coming from their rear ends. clip their wings and no more noise but the will still breed. but try and remove any un eaten crickets from your anoles cage before night fall as they will tend to eat on your anoles over night. if one or two remains un captured it will probably be ok but any more than that is dangerous.

Yes! Crickets, especially black crickets are dangerous to small anoles or any other small creature for that matter. I once put a black cricket in a jar with a black widow spider and the cricket ate the spider. You'd be better off feeding your anole meal worms. They eat veggies not anoles. You can get them at many pet stores or bird feeding stores. They can be kept in the refridgerator for quite a while. I give them a slice of apple now and then to keep them from dying, though.

You are putting too many crickets in or too large size crickets for the anoles to eat.
Remove any crickets that still alive and then wait two days before putting in small crickets, third stage should be large enough for anoles. Only put about three or four for each anole and watch to see if the are eaten quickly. If their are many holes for the crickets to hide in try and reduce the number of holes so the lizards can see them. don't kill the crickets or use any chemicals near them as this may poison the lizards. They will only take moving prey.

You should never leave live crickets in the cage, I know its a pain in the butt, you need to take em out. Here's an idea. I get pinhead crickets (smallest) place them in a parmesan cheese container (obviously empty & cleaned) and give your anoles as much as they can eat for a few minutes then save the rest in the parm container. The good thing about the container is that you can close the lid and they will get enough air, and you can control how much comes out just by tipping the container & letting them comeout through the holes)

Just a quick addition to Steve's good advice, put a piece of washed lettuce or some other cricket food in your anole tank. If the crickets are after your anoles it is likely because they are starving.

Try to put less crickets in the cage. And if the anoles don't seem interested in eating, then take the crickets out.

Take all crickets out of the tank. Wait a few days, until the lizards are hungry. Then drop a cricket at a time until they've had their fill. Always pick up uneaten crickets, or leave a piece of fruit in the tank so they do not go bug the lizards...

Try killing the crickets before you give them to your Anoles. I'm not sure what an anole is exactly, but it sounds like a lizard of sorts? Anyways, I know some people who have large snakes. They usually kill the rats before they feed them to the snake, so the snake doesn't get hurt.
Hope that helps, good luck.
You could probably freeze the crickets to death, or just put them in a jar with no ventilation. I don't think alcohol or acetone would be a good thing to use, because it could poison your animal as well.

How long have the crickets been in the tank? You should remove any uneaten food from the tank within a few hours. I suggest removing the crickets and trying again another day.
