I would like to know the difference between a B.A in e-business and an applied business degree in e-business. This would be very useful to know because I am trying to decide if the applied business degree would be worth the same as a regular degree when finding a job in certain fields such as becoming a business analyst.

The difference is going to be in how much liberal arts core will be required in the program. Neither is "better", they are different creatures altogether.

A BA in business is a liberal arts degree with a major in business. It will likely require between 50-75% liberal arts courses and 25-50% business courses.

A Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Applied Science in Business is an applied professional degree. It will likely require the opposite of the BA -- 75% courses in business and 25% courses in liberal arts.

The question you need to ask yourself then is whether you believe in a strong liberal arts foundational education or a strong applied professional vocational education.

If you plan to go on for an MA in one of the subfields of business for the purpose of research (or maybe a later PhD) then the BA may well be the way to go. If you plan to head to work or to get an MBA then the BBA or BAS business may be the preferred.

In the work world, it often matters very little which you did, as long as you applied yourself and learned the material.
