That's an awesome idea. Treat the Muse as you always wanted to. As an artist myself, I know the real value of having a Muse. You can sing that song "Heaven must be missing an angel coz one is here with me right now" to make the moment really special. More than your opinion or viewpoint focus on how your Muse would react when the art work is checked!!

I'd suggest you don't extend the invitation. Your Muse won't go. My Muse is capricious & independent, but most important--wouldn't give a hoot about an art show. My muse shows up at will to give me inspiration, & after that I'm on my own. I wouldn't have DREAMED of inviting my muse even to my best one man shows replete with all the best of the grain, & music & caterers. Might as well ask her to go bowling. Don't do it. She'll be insulted, or disdainful that you understand her so little!

Well I totally agree that you should be up front with what you want from your muse. The other thing that I would wonder although you don't give us very much to work with would your muse like the works that you have done. Do you think that your muse isn't going to get to afarid? I think it is a good idea but something like this needs to be handle with much care.

Wine, cheese, candlelight, music, lighting, a comfortable seating area with a view.... If I were someones muse I would be impressed if he/she had a great appreciation for the majesty of our world and a distinctly astute respect for the intelligence of humanity both on a micro and macro level. To me this sounds like an evening well spent.
