104. Final Answer. putting 2 side by side would make a measurable shape that would be 18"x15.5". This would cover 279 square inches. so one would cover 139.5 sq in. 100 square feet would be 12x12x100+14400 square in. so divide 14400 by 139.5 and you get 103.22. Unless you can buy one fifth of a tile, you will need a whole one. this is just a hypothetical answer though, in reality you would need to cut some off at the ends so you would probably need more than 104.
