The 20 year old is skating on very thin ice of charges of corruption of a minor and with accusations possible even thinner ice of being charged with much worse, having jail time and being registered sex offender.
Wait until you are 18 then you are legal age to do what ever you want with who ever you want.
Rememeber he can get in trouble doing nothing but being accused of doing something, then he has to prove his innocents in court.
Rememeber once you go to court you are guilty until proven innocent. Yes I know that is not the way it is supose to be but when was the last time the news waited to see if a person was proven guilty before saying he was arrested and taken away by police?
One more question for you to ponder on, when was the last time the news ever said "That guy we plastered all over the papper and on the news, he was proven innocent in court so he is not a bad guy after all"?

Yes it is. First of all, its called statutory rape. Second of all, whats with this guy? He's 20 and he's hitting on a teenager. I mean no offense but you are still a kid and if you want to go out with someone try to find someone your own age or closer. When you're older the age difference wont matter but right now, you are still a kid and he is an adult. I don't mean to say that you're immature, it's just that well there are going to more differences than just age if you guys decide to get into a relationship - and i don't mean just sex - I mean, what kind of conversations would you have? Where are you going to go out? He's gonna be able to do a lot of things that you should not be doing. For your own sake, mental health and any other reason for this, just say no until you're at least in college and even then think about why a much older man would date a young woman.

It isn't illegal but I wouldn't advise any 15 year old to date someone that much older. I don't really know how much in common a HS sophmore might have with someone who's old enough to be a junior in college. A guy interested in a girl that young is only interested in one thing. The like young innocent girls that are trusting and naivee. What do your parents think? I have two daughters and they couldn't date until they were 16 and they couldn't date anyone more than 1 year old. As their mom I felt it protected them from make poor decisions. They hated it at time but they got over it.

It is perfect! If I were 15 I would date a 18, simply because of what some people call 'age of mind' (<=== do not take offense, in case you are the 18yr) This is just the way we are and it is very possible that the relationship goes well. Now, if I were the guy I would take into consideration 'the in-laws'... Sometimes they become an obstacle when they do not accept the relationship. It is always better when the guy 'asks permission' (<== just in case!) This way those who suspect will realise that the 18yr old has no dark intentions (<== utilise her for sex) towards their 'baby'.

Of course not.

Technically, it's not even illegal for a 10-year-old to go out on a date with a 60-year-old. As long as no sex is involved. It may be morally reprehensible and completely inappropriate, but it ain't illegal thus far.

On a more personal note, I would recommend you stick to people your own age. A child dating an adult is a prescription for problems galore.

Uh yeah it's a type of rape you don't have to be having sex either and it's still illegal. Anyways 20+ guy with a 15 yr old girl? That's a bit too much of an age difference honestly I think he's after what's in your pants than what's in your heart.

There is no reason that a 20 year old guy should be interested in a 15 years old girl. He knows way too much about life for you. You need to be careful that he is not a pedophile.

It probably is illegal, in any case it's not a good position the girl is putting herself in. It will probably lead to something more. The guy needs to get with someone his own age.

Seriously, whether it's legal or not, don't do it now.

I know it probably seems like forever, but if you really want to go out with him, wait the 2 1/2 years until you're 18.

I'm pretty sure it's only illegal if you have sexual relations.

Bare in mind that you're parents might completely freak out about it, and try and get him charged with something that he didn't do.

So make sure they're cool with it.
