It was one of the more exciting contests this season. Like most Angel-NYY games it was decided by an unexpected player.. Let's hope tomorrow's game is more of the same.

The Yankees have been surging against mediocre teams as well as the Tigers and Blue Jays since the All Star break. Let's hope the Angels can help cool them off some. But if the truth be told, the Angels had ample opportunity to close out the Yankees in the 8th.

I love the Angels for eliminating the Yankees a few years ago and for being the only team with a winning record against Torre. But if you're asking if this is a particularly significant game, I'd say no. The Yankees lost a close game but they're still near .700 since the break. They will be back cocky as ever tomorrow.

And Boston beating Tampa Bay certainly isn't significant. TB is headed for 100 losses, so what's another one?
