Do you think you should be notified of a thumbs up or a thumbs down?

I would like to know when I get a thumbs up for some reason it means more to me than a best answer. I think you should you should get 1 point for a thumbs up don't you?

yea i think we should be notified
it will be better if we can add a comment box to the thumbs up and down
that way we will know y we got a thumbs up/down
