Last month I decided to skip my period so I'm taking it now and I have cramps and brown clotted blood. I've been on bc for a few months now and this flow is VERY light. Should I be concerned about this? I would expect a heavy flow since I skipped last month.

The clots and brown blood are all old blood and perfectly normal after a skipped period. The BCP would cause only a light build up in the uterine lining. so a slightly heavier flow than usual would not be unusual, nor would cramps. I don't suggest doing the "skip the period" deal with the pills more than once or so a year, at the most. If it's that important to you, consider one of the newer versions that only allow a cycle 4 times a year. Although, with those, it's not an option to skip any of them- you still have to have four when they are scheduled.

That's what happens when you skip your period. Its normal.

I've done it before and will never do it again even if the doctor okays it, it took a long time for me to get back on track with my pills and period.
