Wait... you're a freaking "futbol" fan and you have the nerve to say baseball is boring?
Soccer is like watching marathon running with a speckled ball thrown in for fun.
Do you know why people dance, and chant in large groups at soccer games? TO STAY AWAKE!
The only reason that you think baseball is boring is because you don't have the patience or mental depth required to enjoy this game.
Stolen bases, intentional walks, ground rule doubles, a stand up triple, pinch hitters, double switches, full counts, bases loaded, hit and run, no-hitters, a play at the plate, switch-hitters, grand slams, the squeeze play, sacrifice flys... I could go on, and I'm sure you have no idea what any of that means.
What does soccer have in comparison? Penalty kicks and yellow cards... ANYTHING else???

Soccer is great. Americans used to love American football when the typical score was 6-3. That was back in the day when baseball was the # 1 sport in America.
Baseball isn't boring at all if you know what's happening. Kids who play baseball grow up to be adults who adore the game. A 2-1 game is as exciting as a 45-41 American football game. Just as a 2-1 soccer game is thrilling, a 10-8 baseball game can make you go insane with the thrills.
American football bores me, the NBA does too, although college hoops is great. Soccer is great, too, but, as you can tell from a lot of the answers here, Americans consider it 'foreign' and therefore bad (still some prejudice issues -- lol).
But baseball -- there has never been a better game ever.

Baseball is unique, name another sport where when you look at it in a mirror it is played backwards.
Name another sport were the defense controls the ball to start each offensive attack.
If you can not see the grace, beauty and significance of the whole game, then try again, follow the count, understand you are thinking differently on your approach to hitting depending on the count, outs, men on base, score, now all those same things are applied to the pitcher and we have a duel.
Its not about physically out performing the other guy all the time, you need to out think, the most effective pitch in baseball is the change up, throw the ball 90 then throw it 80 and see if he can hit it.

This from the guy that likes soccer? Talk about boring.
Oh look at me. I can run around by myself for 90 minutes and every once in awhile I'll kick the ball a few times. And don't forget the contact. If you bump into someone both will go down like they were hit by a car. Laying there crying and rolling around like a 2 yr old. Then they are carted off on a stretcher. Now that's a man sport for you. Can you find a slower paced sport than that?
If you don't like it then maybe you should just change the channel.

Just because baseball is boring to you doesn't mean that it's boring to other people. Otherwise noone would watch and you wouldn't be asking this question.
I like baseball because it is the sport I initially grew up watching. It's all we had in Baltimore as my family and most Baltimore area residents didn't care for the Redskins.
I learned the strategies within the game, I.E. the intentional walks, defensive positioning, the bullpen strategies, etc. To me baseball is more than just about hitting the ball and running the bases. Most people who don't like baseball mock it as being "just hitting the ball and running the bases" because that is all that they see out of it. That's fine with me, everyone has their own preferences, but I like baseball.
To me baseball IS good, fun, and entertaning, even fast at times.

The only reason that people find baseball boring, is because there is no time limit. When you're playing baseball, you're actually playing against another team, and not a time clock.
If a football team is up by 3 touchdowns with only 8 minutes left to play, the game is already over. It's boring to watch the game when you already know the winner. With baseball, it doesn't matter how much the other team is ahead, because the home team can score 10 runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game.
Here are the most boring happenings in sports today:
1. Kneel down plays to end a football game.
2. Watching the last 5 minutes of a basketball game. so many time outs, and fouls, and free throws... blah. very very boring.
3. Halftime (no halftime in baseball)
Baseball is meant to be a relaxing, enjoyable sport to watch. It's not for people with low attention spans that have to have constant action in order to maintain interest.

Soccer is dumb because what is the fun of only scoring one point in 90 minutes. basketball is just like soccer but you use your hand but it is just the same running back and forth the whole game. Football is good but it's not baseball. baseball is fun because it is different at each stadium. some favor hitting some pitching some depending on the wind.

Baseball is only boring to people that don't understand how to play the game. It's the only sport where anything can happen at any given time. Oh and if your talking about the NBA give me a break. That league is nothing compared to what it was 10 years ago. The most exciting game to watch is Hockey its the only sport that can go on at the same speed for a prolonged period of time.

I am a die hard baseball fan, but you are correct baseball is so boreing compared to Football, basketball, and soccer. Though every body has a different thirst for sports I guess people watch it because people like to see players hit a small ball with a small bat over 400 feet

I've played both baseball, soccer, football and basketball, so I think I'm unbiased.
Football is probably the funnest to watch and play.
Basketball is fun to watch and play.
Soccer is fun to play, boring to watch.
Baseball can be boring at times to both play and watch, but it can also be extremely exciting. And it is more challenging to play it and understand it.
