Believe it or not, you can become more intelligent by reading Scripture regularly. (If you doubt this, you can try it for yourself.)
Another way, is to pick someone you would like to emulate and then do so.
If you don't know what a word means, look it up in the dictionary. It is good for your intelligence.
Two things about being intelligent that I've learned:
1. Ask God for wisdom every day. (See James 1:5)
If you have a good memory, you will be counted as intelligent.
2. The true art of memory is the art of attention.
Pay close attention to everything that is said and done. Pay close attention to what you see and hear and want to remember.

Just keep this in mind.Theres no susitute for good ol common sense. The gift is what you know not what everyone else knows. Some people are a bit clumsy with thier words. But if they say what comes from the heart it means more than searching for the right words.

They are usually trained at an early age to PAY ATTENTION to the world around them and to ASK about things they don't know. It also helps to have intelligent parents, because they encourage their kids to be intelligent too.
If you want to boost your I.Q., start by hanging out with smarter people - it won't take long to pick up the vibe.

I have an IQ of 168, but no common sense at all. I work as a CNA and know all kinds of useless trivia. It doesn't get me anywhere.
My son has an IQ of 69 and has found a way to buy a house on his own, not using SS disability.
Intelligence is making use of what you know.

They may attain a high degree of "obvious" intelligence by way of "nature and experience". That means that some of their intellect is cultivated by their physical environment (experience), while another part of their intellect is widely believed to be genetically inherited (nature). It is a Question which puzzles scientist to this day as to what "precisely" intelligence IS.

They challenge themselves. It doesnt matter how many books they read, etc. The only thing that matters is how they function. The odd thing is though, some of the wierdest people end up being the smartest. Read about benjamin franklin and albert einstein's childhood history.

not all people are born geniuses. I think people become educated as they grow and through school, experience, books, community, etc. But i think the more educated you become... the more you realize how unedecated you really are because there's so many things you dont know about... it's ironic but true. And don't worry, i guarantee you, you know more about a certain subject than they do... they may be smart in certain areas but you might be more informed than them in other areas.
