There was a time when adults were able to use the kids points, but you are no longer able to do that. The child must use the points for a kids meal.
On another question you asked about sharing meals, so I will answer that here as well. You are able to share meals, not everyone has to use a point when you dine. The only exception is at buffets, you do have to use a point for each person if you dine at any of the buffets, or any meals where the food is unlimited. When you get to the restaurant, the easiest thing to do is tell your waiter you are one the dining plan and this is your first time using it. They can help you and explain everything, if you have any questions they are there to help.
As far as Spirit of Aloha, it is not my favorite dinner show. It is okay, but for the money I think it could be a little better, and the characters are not there. I think that Hoop-Dee-Doo and Mickey's Backyard Barbecue are better choices, but that is just my opinion. I think that the kids would enjoy the other two more as well. If you want to get the most out of your money, you should avoid the two point restaurants, you don't save as much money and you won't have enough food for the entire stay.
I personally like O'hanas a lot more. The food is fantastic, great environment, just a lot of fun. Plus, it is only one point. Kona is really great as well.

Tech Fanatic gave you a wonderful answer to your child/adult dining plan questions. As for the Spirit of Aloha Show - yes the food and entertainment is great! Originally, the show only had Polynesian performers - this was before the Lilo & Stitch film came out. Then in 2003, they included the characters for a while, however I do not believe they are apart of the show anymore. You really don't need them to enjoy the show - it is great! And they typically pause for guests to enjoy the MK fireworks. There is no bad seat for the dinner show. There are 3 different sections and they all range in price within a few dollars. Take the cheap seats unless you absolutely have to sit right in front - you'll still enjoy the show just as much and for cheaper. I would not use the dining plan for the dinner show. Disney tends to give preference to non-dining plan guests at that location. Be sure to visit http://www.easybreezyplanning.com

Adults can eat kids meals but on the plan you are paying for adult meals. So I would suggest if you want to eat the kids meals duiring your stay do not get the meal plan.
I personally don't know the table service points (??), but I have done the luau show at the polynesian resort if that is the spirit of Aloha show, now. It is more for adults in my opinion. The food is great as are all the Disney show foods. The food is themed toward the shows. I do not know if Lilo & Stitch are there anymore, sorry.
If you want to do a more children oriented dinner at Disney try the Hoo-Down at Fort Wilderness, lots of fun and very interactive.

i would say probably not. As far as the Spirit of Aloha show, i went to it in 2005 and it was a 100$ for two people total. So that's not a good value to spend 2 table services on....you can spend that much at a nice restaurant that takes 1 tablle service. As far as how the show was, it was ok. I absolutely LOVE the indoor Ohana, way better!!! I hated sitting elbow to elbow with strangers and feeling like i cant talk freely and then having to hear them! Also, there wasnt live music constantly, there was people up dancing and singing but then they'd just leave and put on the stereo-pretty sure that was while we ate. Food was good, better at Ohana, we had great ribs, a nice salad, rolls, probably vegetables, some other kind of meat, and dessert was dissapointing, it was a nice presentation -a chocolate mousse volcano with raspberry sauce, but it wasnt much to eat-b/c it was mousse! I actually didnt feel well and left after dessert. Ohana is the best inside!!! skip the Aloha show, oh and if you cancel you get charged the whole price anyways!! -not the case with Ohana...well hope that helps!! OH, Lilo and Stitch were not there, just people dancing...unless they came out after dessert.

I am not 100% sure about the kids meal thing. I mean, I don't see why not, you would kind of be saving them money. Why order a huge meal, if you just want to eat a little bit.
As far as the show goes, personally, I wouldn't do it. It was a great show, but if you have kids...I would use the 2 dining points to do the Hoopty Doo Revue. The food is awesome *endless amounts of fried chicken, backed beans, corn on the cobb and strawberry shortcake for dessert* Not to mention as much as you can drink beer and sangria (they come in jam jars er...mason jars. Warning...you drink more than you realize, my ex had to carry me to the bus) as you want. The show is wonderful and it is an all around good time.
The luau food is amazing too, and so is the show, however for a family atmoshphere..I would do the Hoopty Doo. Oh, and as far as Lilo and Stitch...they weren't there when I went and that was in 2003.

No, adult tickets and child tickets are different. I always pay instead of using two tickets for those meals that require it, but it is so worth it. Spirit of Aloha is different from the Lilo and Stitch character meal, try both, we adore them.
You can call 180 days before your trip to get priority seating, I highly recommend this, we do it and never have problems, my sister's family went last summer at the spur of the moment and had a difficult time finding places to eat.
