i like someone i met while on vaca in the DR and he likes me. i just met him recently for the first time, and come to find out he's my 3rd cousin...i know some may not consider that right, but i looked past it because of how real my feelings are for him. We've only known each other for 3 weeks and the other day he said the "L" word.. and now hes in boston visiting family... i feel so strongly for him but im afraid to go any further because he lives in another country and it would never work we'd only see each other maybe once or twice a year.. and i dont know what to do, but i cant stop thinking about him everyday.... and im afraid if he asks me to be his gf ill say the wrong thing and ill regret it..idk. what do i do?

hmm..im not sure if i can give you the best advice on what to say to him if he asks you to be his gf but if you're concerened about the fact that he's your 3rd cousin....i'd say dont worry about it. if he was your first cousin then..okayy...u got to come to a hault, lol but 3rd cousin is far..far enough to me at least. best of luckk =]

This is a big crush. Don't make it more than it is. I know that feelings can be strong, and overwhelming, but be realistic. First of all, it is wrong. And since he lives in another country why are you even bothering? Tell him that you want to just be friends. And you hope that he looks you up when he comes to town. Nothing More.

Don't mean to be rude but sweetie that's sick he is your family jus think what if you had kids together that would be one confused child and also usually when incest occurs the child can have problems it might not go that far but still sometimes things happen and also your family would probaly trip out so y even put yourself through all that trouble quit while you're ahead

wow...that is a tough situation to be in...i have been there before...i think you should ignore your feelings for this guy...cuz he lives in another country and most long distance relationship dont work out...trust me....n second he is family and if you and him dont work out ...he is always going to be there in you life reminding you of that mistake..so trust me dont get involved it will be really weird when things dont go the way you want it to..

let me ask you this....what would your family think..they would probably not be pleased at all...if you do decide to go with this...you would have to deal with the funny looks and people talking about you behind your back at all the holiday dinners....no offense, but if some of my family did that i would probably be talking about them...and worse than that i would do it where they could hear me....there is a reason people talk about it....it's called incest...i don't mean to be harsh, but sounds like a situation for some tough love....sorry..~shrugs~

well there is nothing wrong with 3rd cousin. i believe that is ok. but you need to make up your mind. i mean there is such a big world out there that you have not seen i dont' know

i'm not one to give advice,
but trust be you'll get over it.
seeing that you won't see him everyday,
it's pretty easy to get over. trust me.
once and a while, we have to regret things,
if he asks you, and you say no, then so be it.
but if you really feel strongly for him,
try it out. see if that's how you really want to live.

ok i was in this same situation once too!! i did everything i could to forget about him. i hung out with my friends more, i flirted with more guys... eventually you will find someone who you will fall in love with. even more that your 3rd cousin believe it or not!! i ended up liking one of my closest friends!! love could be waiting for you anywhere but you have to be ready to let it find you...
