Socrates because he started it all. Plato would not have any basis without Him. There will be no Plato without Socrates wisdom.

My all time favorite is Gandhi, who showed in the most spectacular and captivating manner what walking the talk means... when what he believed in was so incredible that most of the intellectuals of his time ridiculed his ideas of using 'truth and non-violence' as a potent weapon against the mighty British empire as impracticable and theoretical..... no other philosopher ever has convinced and led millions to act on his ideas for achieving such a colossal purpose despite such a mountain of ridicule and disbelief heaped on them incessantly through the crucial period spanning over 4 decades!!
Whoever believes that he was a politician has not understood the great man well enough... he was a true philosopher as admired by no less a person that Einstein himself!!

Do you mean in real life or in some make believe one like on a TV show? Because I would rather say my favorite philosopher is Rev Ben from Andromeda, but he isn't real. I love all of the wise stuff he says.

Siddhārtha Gautama AKA Buddha.
Buddha was a one of the prince in Northern region of India (Present day---Nepal). He escaped from the palace because he wanted to discovery the truth in life. After, he discovered the true happiness in life. His beliefs became religion for 2550 years.
Principle of Buddhism is very similar to Hinduism and other religions around the world. However, Buddhism has no gods. Buddha is not a god. Irony, many Buddhist believes in god--- Buddhists are free! We can love and believe in other religion principles as long as we are good persons.

Plato. He found the immortality of the energy of God and the way of God but also of the Universe. He found that the indiscernible is actually discernible it is only our human nature that keeps us from understanding fully. He used Heraclitus's Logos in way to explain a one principle of the empirical world (world of experience) that transcends the empirical world but is one with it, for it is Logos that creates the empirical world and that is how we are able to understand the one principle from being a part of it in life despite having the inability to discern its presence in everything we observe. Also Plato believed that if everyone were philosopher kings we would have a utopia of stability.

My admired philoshopher is Schopenhauer. His commentaries on society and the guy nonetheless carry authentic at present. He has given me super perception into myself and the movements of others. additionally, he's the 1st western philospher to comprise jap concept varieties into his paintings. Alot human beings say he became very pesimistic, i don't fill that way, actually, for me, he became freeing. My important philosophical staple is existentialism. After examining Schopenhauer and Nietzsche to boot as my very own very own stories I attained an existential outlook on existence, yet it wasn't till I grew to alter into famaliar with existential philosphy that i found obtainable became a term for it. i admire the possibility of being on my own in a godless universe. The angst became not there for me, in basic terms alleviation.

My favorite has to be kant because I admire him so much just because I know I can never be like him...Not many people like him because he wasn't the nicest man on earth but he was a fair man and believed for instance, if you received a 69 average on your exam he will not round it to a 70 because he will argue that you received a 69 therefore you do not deserve a 70. He saw things in black and white and nothing in between.. Also, I have been fond the works of Plato, and Socrates
