i cleaned the screen with windex.wiped down the top of the laptop.nothing dripped and the thing was turned off when i did this.

i started it up and im getting beeps/keyboard issues.i did the same with my other laptop loads of times but nothing has ever happened.the laptop that is having issues is older..

anyhow, the touchpad is acting extra sensitive, i get beeps at start up and the keyboard pressing buttons i didnt..did i destroy this thing for good? i searched on google and didnt read much about beeps due to liquids..

i waited a bit, took everything out and layed it upside down with a fan running over it..

things seem ok but now it goes directly into set-up before windows boots...f2 key stuck for life?

just let it dry out and hope for the best...

if it was switched on at the time you could have caused a short in the keyboard through dampness

in future never clean any keyboard while it is live

Use air can, it will be OK, my computer was in the flood and when it dried up it works.
