fun decor, like pirate ships and King Kong

different/challenging set-ups - like a area where you have to go over 2 hills, but not 3, and then the ball drops a level into another area that isn't easy either.

you know, one sort of based on Indiana Jones would be neat.

I would say use of objects and props definitely makes mini golf more fun. I hate when I go and the only challenge is to get it up a hill or through a narrow pass. I enjoy the ones where you go throuh a windmill, etc. If you could come up with unique ideas using objects it would be fun. I do like a theme idea as someone else stated. My boyfriend and I were just talking about how cool it would be if an amusement park had an amusement park themed putt-putt course. You could do all sorts of great things with that idea. Good luck and let us all know when you finish designing! :)

I've kind of thought about this question too. I think it would be cool to be able to change some of the holes around. Have removable type pieces that can be switched from hole to hole to create an everchanging course. That way people won't get burnt out on just one layout. Don't know the kind of investment cash you have. But I think with some good hard thought behind it, one could build a killer changeable course. Try to have something to pull people in for other reasons as well as putt putt. Believe me, i've been to so many crappy little putt putt courses where no thought or imagination were used. Good luck.

Try to start using the line on your ball if you do not already. Read the green to the best of your ability, and then set up the line on your ball will you will be aiming. After that, forget about the line and just worry about the speed of the putt (the most important part). Get over the ball with confidence that it will go in and make a good stroke. Keep your head down through the stroke and do not peek at were the ball is going until well after the ball has hit the putter. Hope this helps.
