a glass of water is put on a scale. Ice is added to the water and the glass is weighed. Thirty minutes later the weight of the glass is noted to have increased. Why?

Too easy I guess. This was actually on a primary school science test in Singapore where the humidity averages in the 80's & 90's.

Maybe some moisture in the air condensed on the side of the glass and that condensation would increase the weight.

OR when no one was looking I added a shot of red eye....lol

i tried to figure out the answer to this one, without looking at the other replies....just to see if i had gotten any smarter since i left school...no such luck!!
i guess as far as science n math go, i won't be scoring any extra points!! thanks for getting the grey cells going for a bit tho...
