We are still there because the elite want to destabilize the region so they can steal the oil and control the oil prices through how much is produced. If it wasn't that way then we wouldn't be trying to get Chavez either. The elite never liked either of them because they flooded the market with cheap gas...making it hard to make a high demand for the gas.

Why do you think we are trying to blame Iran for everything? Because Iran is doing the same thing...and talking about using the Euro for the exchange rate and not the US dollar any longer.

If it was because they actually CARED about humans then we wouldn't ignore Africa or actually our own people in New Orleans. It is because neither of those hand any MONEY or natural resources.

Because the country is now teetering on the brink of a civil war (depending on the day) & they've got neighboring countries around them who would love nothing more than to watch the country fall into anarchy so they can swoop in to save its people & install the government they want there.
With the percentage of oil that is under the sand in that entire region and with the amount of oil this country consumes, we've got to have a presence there or else our future is in doubt. At least until we locate oil elsewhere or someone develops viable alternative fuels (NOT ethanol)

That sounds more plausible than today's media propaganda and political sound bites. It's unlikely that the US is there to give democracy to the people of the Middle East.

When the next 9/11 happens, please be prepared to lose the rest of bill of rights and constitutional rights. What happened to freedom in America.

If there are no brains in your head, why are you trying to think? Iraq was the repository of WMDs, which would have been dispersed to places like, well, like IRAN, for crying out loud. Never mind that Hussein and Iran were enemies - they'd have allied to kill Americans. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

So we made sure Iraq is WMD neutral. It was our moral obligation, to ourselves and to every one else who would have potentially been the victim of the combination of secular and Jihadist mad men. Remember the 13th Century Crusades? Hello? The Catholic church skullduggerously used every maniac they could to ensure order. Torquemada, anyone? Think he didn't help make things right for the religious Christian fanatics of the day?

We killed Iraq as a WMD threat, which they definitely had been before ditching their load before our invasion. Now it's cleanup time, and it's finally working.

I'm sick and tired of sycophantic noodle brains falling for every left wing B.S. story.

C'mon. Admit it. You are too.

because buddy we gotta fix what we started. We can't just go anywhere, destroy the place and get the **** outta there. If we leave the terrorists will take over iraq and they will eventually come back and get us like 9/11. So its better to stay and fix the war torn country. Teach iraqi people to protect themselves and then only we can leave iraq. I know its hard for American dying everyday but if we leave in the middle then all those who died for the cause their death will go in vain, so at least we have to fight for their sake.

we've built 14 permanent bases in Iraq, yes, permanent, it's to ensure that once Iraq has signed it's oil rights over to big oil corps they'll be safe to do their business. that's why Iraqi's Parliament members are walking out and refusing to convene, because they do not want to sign their oil over
