No, most people set their expectations for someone too high and the majority of the time may be unattainable by anyone.
Praise is often, short lived, failure is heard forever.
It is more important for the individual to do their best, for God, family, work, society in that order, then comes anything else.

it depends on the situation.
I'd rather be true to myself and esteem myself.
I do like praise if i think it is genuine.
Expectations are risky in my experience.
They need to be flexible or they can lead to disapointment.
I think it is better not to have big expectations of other people.
That doesn't mean i don't have personal standards.

No, I know two people right now who expect things from me that I am unable to give and I don't know what to do. It makes me uncomfortable and resentful. My smile is fake, I am sure.

I always answer to myself and act from my heart and hopefully, also my head. Maybe that's why I sometimes find myself in trouble.
