The Tower of Babel, what do you think?
****This is what Christians actually believe****

One day humanity (which at this point all looked the same and spoke the same language) decided to build a tower in an attempt to reach heaven. God said "hey just who the heck do you think you are humanity, gosh you are so arrogant" and got super pissed off. So as a befitting punishment, he did what any reasonable omnipotent, omniscient god would do...... He decided he'd teleport humanity all across the earth and curse them by making speak differently so we couldn't understand each other. And THIS is the reason why we have such diverse races and languages.

Wow he really showed us; he COULD have just done the easy thing and flooded all the earth and murdered everyone except 1 family again. But he pinky-swore not to do that again. phew... thank god for rainbows...

Don't believe me about the tower of babel? Read it yourself.

you can't take everything you read literally half the **** in the bible is just man's perverted word to fit his own agenda but honestly the first time i heard that story i did think it was pretty gay this is a hard question though how do you justify a perfect beings action especialy when hes incapable of making a mistake when you feel the decision made is wrong maybe it was a parent protecting his kids from a mistake like a mom stopping her kid before he touches the hot stove or maybe it was like a dad punishing his kid for trying to prove him wrong or maybe it was a lame attempt by some priest for explaining how two white people made hundreds of different races but theres no way of knowing which one is true i do vote the latter though anyway **** you this is what christians actually believe why do you give **** who believes what faith and religion arent about mystical fables or fire and brimstone its about making the right decisions and and being a good person some of the stupidest stories have helped people through the worst of times

He didn't cause hatred, but he did mean to stop humanity from building the tower. It was an abomination, a big F-you to God: They arrogantly decided that instead of following His instructions about leading good lives to get to Heaven that they would simply build something and accomplish the same results, an attempt at a man-made miracle apparently not understanding that since God created Heaven it's pretty much His property to decide who gets to be there (if it were up to people it would be no better than life here). The Tower of Babel was an ambition that was similar to Lucifer's attempt to become God and the false god of gold Moses's people made after escaping slavery. All creations of Man are fleeting and will fail if God isn't a supporter, because if the Bible is correct He's the Creator of this universe and as such has the last say in everything. That's why he made different languages according to that story. Humans can have small minds. It was the choice of those people who picked bigotry to go that path, we've had free will since even before eating the Forbidden Fruit. I feel that this is a detachment from what God wants us to do: God created everything and everyone, so we're supposed to love everything and everyone as well I think.

Why must you be such an angry young man, when your future seems quite bright to me! You're fooling yourself if you don't believe it. Your kidding yourself if you don't believe it. Get up! Get back on your feet.........
