My names gabby and people make fun of it all the time saying I talk a lot and they see why that is my name. But ym full name is Gabrielle ( pronounced Gabriella my mom is weird) and well the point s IM going to a new school this year...which name should i go by ( ive gone by Gabby my whole,life and Im sick of it) Gabrielle or gabby or brie or just whatever tell me what you think

I once knew a girl named Gabrielle, but some people called her Gabby. I don't like Gabby, but Gabrielle, or Gabriella, are beautiful names. If you like Gabrielle, tell people that's your name. And for the people that already call you Gabby, tell them you prefer to be called Gabrielle, or which ever name you want to be called. Eventually, they'll catch on. Everyone has the right to be called any name they want.

My name is Gabby 2, and all the new teachers always ask me if I talk alot and I dont I am more serious, and that gets annoying 2 me. But now everyone calls me FISH or FISH FACE or GILLS because my last name is "Gill." but my real name is Gabriella to. but I have heard people when I told them my real name say "do u go by Ella, or Brie." but I think the names Ella and Brie are very cute!

I think you should explain to those who make fun of you that your name's meaning is good:
Gabrielle is a woman's name, originally the French feminine form of Gabriel, which meant "man of god" in Hebrew. From Wikipedia.
Your name has been very popular through the ages. So, I think you should be okay with people calling you Gabrielle, if Gaby is bothering you now. Gabrielle sounds appealing and attractive. Take care.

i know a gril who is gabby and talks alot. but i would go with brie, because if they know its Gabrielle, they will nick name Gabby, and the girl i know can be a real Witch, like not talk to someone in certain places, but i'm not saying ur like that. hoped this helps. bye

i say throw away gabby while you have the chance, its not a bad name, but if it bothers you, then don't put up with it, and go by gabrielle, or bri for short, whatever floats your boat, but yeah, if it bothers you, going to a new school will be a good chance to get rid of that.

since its your nick name, you could tell them Gabrielle and then let them call you Gabby themselves not in a mean way, since Gabby is an obvious nick name for Gabrielle

I like Brie too. Gabrielle is kinda long and people will probably shorten it anyway. At least with Brie you get to decide what it's shortened to.

I associate that name with pretty, smart, fun loving women. I've known a couple of Gabby's and they're great people... really spunky and full of life!
