Actually, I never cared for anything Mr. Seger did post 1973.
His material between 1969-73 was much more creative and enjoyable for me anyways. The highlights of that period were his albums 'Noah', 'Ramblin' Gamblin' Man', and 'Mongrel'. His band was called 'The Bob Seger System'.
Those three albums are all masterpieces of American rock 'n' roll. They were much more of a heavy bluesy sort of psychedelic hard rock, much like the early 'Steve Miller Band' output from that period.
Anyone that remembers Bob from his early days, cringed when the first 'Silver Bullet Band' album was released! To many of us, it was a giant step backwards creatively speaking. Though very appealing to many people that hadn't heard of him, and were into the 'top 40 hit' sort of thing.
Personally I think 'Night Moves' and all the other crap he released around that period ruined what was once a good thing! I guess after seeing a good portion of his commercial output being used in TV and radio adds for underarm deodorant, cars, and household cleaners didn't help much either. Ouch!!

Night Moves was one of the best albums. Good Music! I like Main Street, too. This club I use to go in all the tunes from Bob Seger were on the juke box. The music rocked.
