is the novel the perect storm by sebastian junger and the movie very similar?

is everything that goes on in the book the same exact of what happens in the movie? what r the differences?

Actually, I thought the book and movie were quite similar and both very good.

Well, the book is non-fiction where as the movie would be historic fiction. Both concern the Halloween Nor'easter of '91, but I'd imagine the book would be more on the facts without making up potential dialouge and minor events that we don't know if it was actually said or not.
