I put on 40 kilos (a lot of pounds!) when I was pregnant with my daughter, it has been a year and a half since she was born. The weird thing is that I have incresed my body weight by more than half but I have only gained 2 dress sizes and most people that are the same weight as me are like a size 22 or something yet I am a size 16-18 and I used to be 12-14. I am not particularly tall, only 5'4 or something (167cms) and my belly has a lot of fat from the pregnancy and my butt and legs are much huger so I dont understand how I only went up two sizes. Is that normal or do I have a tumor or something?

People all put on weight differently ... maybe youve just put it on in places that dont affect dress sized as much. I dont know, ask your doc if its worrying you. But I think you'd probably be the first one to be worried that you havent gone up as many dress sizes as you think you should have!!

Pregnancy does change the figure, but generally the weight goes down after the baby is born. Maybe you're not as careful of your diet now that you're a mom. Weight gain is usually the result of taking in more calories than you expend. See your doctor to make sure you're in good health, and then see if he or she can suggest a lower calorie regimen for you to follow. Also, try to increase your exercise.

If you are concerned about your weight, you should see your doctor. Perhaps you have put on alot of muscle? I know that muscle weighs more than fat...don't feel bad, though. I always put on about 50 pounds with each pregnancy...it is alot of hard work to get it back off, but if you get determined it can be done...and I have a hubby that LOVES sweets! It is like being a recovering addict in a drug house, so to speak.
Good luck!

I wouldn't worry about it but
if you are seriously worried you might wanna talk to your doctor or dietician...
they would know if something serious was happening....
but i think that most ppl go through it after having a baby

Some people just carry their weight extremely well. If you're concerned about your health, ask your doctor. Otherwise, be happy!
