I have a new Sylvania lcd in my room. I hooked my dvd player up to it because my mom doesn't have cable yet (she moved recently). In the middle of a movie, the tv will dim and then go back to normal a few seconds later. This might happen about three times in a row until it decides to stop. This happens abour once every fifteen or twenty minutes. Usually I can't tell unless the colors are bright (like in an animated movie). I think it might be a problem with the dvd player but I can't be sure. Anyone know? Thank you :)

Check all the connections are good.
If you can try the TV with a different source and the DVD player with a different TV to see which of the two has the problem.
If they are new then they will be under warranty, get the faulty unit replaced.
